Introduction
The Show completed actions toggle allows you to view both open and closed actions for a patient, or filter the list to show only open actions. This helps you focus on outstanding tasks whilst still being able to review completed work when needed.
Before You Start
Permissions required:
- You must have access to view the patient's profile
- Available to all organisational users (Administrators, Team Owners, and Clinical Users) who are members of a team the patient belongs to
If you cannot access a patient, you'll be redirected to a "Patient Access Denied" page.
Steps
- From the sidebar, select My Patients to see your patient list
- Click on the patient name to open their profile
- Click the Actions tab at the top of the patient profile (this may show a badge with the number of overdue actions)
- At the top of the actions table, you'll see a checkbox labelled Show completed actions
- To view completed actions, tick the checkbox:
- The table refreshes to include closed actions
- A new "Closed" column appears showing when each action was completed and who closed it (e.g., "15/03/2026 14:30 (closed by Dr. Smith)")
- To hide completed actions, untick the checkbox:
- The table refreshes to show only open/pending actions
- The "Closed" column disappears
- This is the default view
The toggle updates immediately when you click it. Your preference is remembered whilst you browse the application during your current session.
Tips
- Default state: The toggle is unchecked by default, showing only open actions. This helps you focus on outstanding tasks.
- Session persistence: Your toggle preference is saved in your browser session. If you enable it for one patient, it remains enabled when you view other patients' actions, until you log out.
- Review completed work: Use this toggle when you need to check what actions have been completed, who completed them, and when.
- Quick filtering: The toggle provides instant filtering without needing to refresh the page or use complex search options.
- Multi-user view: The "Closed" column shows who completed each action, making it easy to track team member activity.
