How to Sort Team Members

Introduction

You can sort the team members table by name, contact number, email, or team role to quickly find specific colleagues or organise the view to suit your workflow. Sorting helps you locate team members efficiently, especially in larger teams.

Before You Start

No special permissions required. Any team member can sort the team members table.

Steps
  1. From the sidebar, click Teams to expand the teams list
  2. Select the team whose members you want to view
  3. Click the Members tab to display the team members table
  4. Click on any column header to sort by that column:
    • Name – sorts alphabetically by last name
    • Contact – sorts by phone number
    • Email – sorts alphabetically by email address
    • Team Role – sorts by role (Owner or Member)
  5. An arrow icon appears next to the active column name:
    • Up arrow (⬆) indicates ascending order (A→Z)
    • Down arrow (⬇) indicates descending order (Z→A)
  6. Click the same column header again to reverse the sort direction
  7. Click a different column header to sort by that column instead

The table reorders immediately when you click a column header. Only one column can be actively sorted at a time.

Tips
  • Default sort: The Members table initially displays sorted by Name (last name) in descending order (Z→A)
  • Missing data: Team members with missing contact details or email addresses appear at the end of the list when sorting in ascending order, or at the beginning when sorting in descending order
  • Search and sort: If you use the search field to filter members by name, sorting applies only to the filtered results
  • Sort persistence: Your sort selection remains active whilst you're viewing the Members tab, but resets to the default (Name, descending) when you navigate away or refresh the page
  • Hover feedback: When you hover over a column header, the cursor changes to a pointer and the header becomes slightly transparent, indicating it's clickable
  • Quick identification: Use the Name column to find colleagues alphabetically, or the Team Role column to quickly identify the Team Owner
