How to Register a New Organisation

This feature is currently not available. The organization registration form exists in the CAREFUL codebase but is not accessible through the application. There is no registration link on the login page, and the registration route is not defined.

Current registration options:

• New organizations must be created by CAREFUL system administrators
• If you need to create a new organization, please contact CAREFUL support
• If you've been invited to an existing organization, you'll receive an SMS with a verification link

The following documentation describes how the registration feature would work if it were enabled.

Organization registration allows you to create a new CAREFUL organization for your healthcare team. This is the first step in setting up CAREFUL for your clinical unit, after which you can create teams, invite users, and add patients.

Currently inaccessible: There is no way to access the registration page from within CAREFUL. The /auth/register route does not exist, and there are no links to registration from the login page or elsewhere.

If this feature were enabled, you would need:

• Your mobile phone number (to receive verification SMS)
• Your email address
• Access to https://www.careful.online/policies to review the legal agreements

Note: These steps describe the intended workflow, but the registration page is currently inaccessible.

1. Navigate to the CAREFUL login page
2. (Currently missing) Click a "Register" or "Sign up" link (this link does not exist)
3. On the registration page, you would see the heading "Register for Free"
4. Fill in the organization details:
   • Organisation name - A unique name for your organization
   • First name - Your first name (as the administrator)
   • Last name - Your last name
   • Your cellphone/mobile - Your mobile number with country code (used for verification)
   • Your Email - Your email address
5. Read the two important warnings:
   • WARNING 1: Patient identifiable data (PID) confidentiality responsibilities
   • WARNING 2: Activity logging and auditing notice
6. Click the link to policies and agreements page to review the End User Licence Agreement, Data Processing Agreement, and Data Sharing Agreement
7. Tick the checkbox: "By ticking this box you acknowledge the above warnings and agree to our standard terms of use"
8. Complete the ReCAPTCHA verification (image challenge)
9. Click "Sign-up for free" (the button is disabled until both the checkbox is ticked and ReCAPTCHA is verified)
10. Wait for the success message: "Thank you" with the text "You will receive an SMS with further instructions"
11. Check your mobile phone for an SMS containing a verification link
12. Click the verification link in the SMS (this opens /auth/verify-registration in your browser)
13. On the verification page, you'll see "Create account" and "Thanks for registering"
14. Read the terms of the Careful End User Licence Agreement (click the link to view it)
15. Tick the checkbox: "I agree"
16. Click "Create account"
17. You'll be logged in automatically and redirected to your new organization

After successful registration and verification:

• You become the administrator of a new, empty organization
• You'll need to create your first team
• You can invite other users to join your organization
• You can start adding patients to your teams

If someone else has already created an organization and invited you:

1. You'll receive an SMS with an invitation link
2. Click the link to verify and accept the invitation
3. Set your password and complete your profile
4. You'll be added to the existing organization

This is currently the only way for organizational users to join CAREFUL.
