Accept Your Invitation to CAREFUL

When an administrator invites you to join their CAREFUL organisation, you'll receive an email or text message containing a link to create your account. This process allows you to set your password and acknowledge important legal responsibilities before accessing the platform.

• You must have received an invitation email or SMS from your organisation's administrator
• The invitation link is single-use and expires after a set period
• You'll need to create a password that is at least 10 characters long

1. Open your invitation link. Click the link in the email or SMS you received. This will take you to the Create Account page.

2. Review the page header. You'll see "Create account - [Region]" (e.g., "Create account - United Kingdom") confirming your organisation's location.

3. Enter your password. Type a password in the Password field. Your password must be at least 10 characters long and is case-sensitive.

4. Confirm your password. Re-enter the same password in the Confirm password field. If the passwords don't match, you'll see "Passwords must match" in red text below the fields.

5. Read the legal warnings. Two important warnings appear in red, bold text:

   • WARNING 1: This system may be used to store patient identifiable data (PID). As a user you have legal responsibility to maintain patient confidentiality.
   • WARNING 2: Your activity in this system is automatically logged. These logs may be audited.

6. Review the terms of use. Click the Careful End User Licence Agreement link to read the full terms. This opens in a new browser tab.

7. Accept the terms. Tick the checkbox labelled "I agree to the terms of use and acknowledge these warnings." The Create account button will become active once you've ticked this box and your passwords match.

8. Create your account. Click the Create account button. Your account will be created and you'll be redirected to a success page.

9. View the success confirmation. You'll see "Sign up Successful!" along with information about downloading the CAREFUL mobile app. A countdown timer displays "You will be redirected in [seconds]" starting from 10 seconds.

10. Proceed to login. Either wait for the automatic redirect after 10 seconds, or click Click here to Login to go to the login page immediately.

11. Log in to CAREFUL. On the login page, enter your mobile number or email address and the password you just created.

If you see an "Expired link" error with the message "Your invitation link has expired or has been already used," you have two options:

• If you see a resend button: Click Click here to resend a new link. This will send you a fresh invitation link and redirect you to the login page.
• If you see a link to forgot password: Click here to request a password reset, or contact your organisation administrator to send you a new invitation.

• Your password is case-sensitive, so remember the exact capitalisation you used when creating it
• The invitation link can only be used once. After you create your account, the link becomes invalid
• If you accidentally close the success page before reaching the login screen, simply navigate back to the CAREFUL login page
• Save your password securely -- you'll need it every time you log in to CAREFUL
• The mobile app offers additional features like instant notifications and team chat. Consider downloading it from the App Store or Google Play after your first login
