Verify Registration

Introduction

The registration verification page allows new users to complete their account creation after receiving a verification link via SMS. This is the final step in the self-registration process, where you confirm your mobile number and agree to the End User Licence Agreement before accessing CAREFUL.

Before You Start
  • You must have completed the organisation registration form
  • You must have received a verification SMS on your registered mobile number containing a verification link
  • The verification link is valid for 24 hours from the time of registration
  • No existing CAREFUL account or login is required
Steps
  1. Open the verification link from the SMS you received on your mobile phone. The link will automatically open in your browser and take you to the verification page.

  2. Review the page contents. You'll see:

    • The heading "Create account - [Region]"
    • A welcome message: "Thanks for registering"
    • A link to the End User Licence Agreement
  3. (Optional) Read the End User Licence Agreement by clicking the End User License Agreement link. This will open the agreement in a new browser tab.

  4. Agree to the terms. Tick the I agree checkbox to confirm you accept the End User Licence Agreement. The Create account button will become enabled.

  5. Complete verification. Click the Create account button to verify your mobile number and activate your account.

  6. Wait for processing. The system will validate your verification token and create your authenticated session. This normally takes just a few seconds.

  7. Automatic redirect. Once verification succeeds, you'll be automatically redirected to the account setup page to complete your profile.

Error States

If you encounter an error during verification:

  • "token expired" - Your verification link has expired (more than 24 hours old). You'll need to contact your organisation administrator or re-register.
  • "token not found" - The verification link is invalid or has already been used. Check you're using the most recent SMS link, or contact support.
  • Other validation errors - These will be displayed on the page. Follow the instructions provided or contact your organisation administrator.
Tips
  • The verification link can only be used once. If you've already verified your account, use the standard login page instead.
  • Don't share your verification link with others. It's unique to your account and mobile number.
  • If you don't receive the SMS within a few minutes of registering, check your mobile number was entered correctly during registration.
  • The verification process happens before you set your password. Password setup comes in the next step after verification.
  • Make sure you have a stable internet connection when clicking the verification link to avoid timeout errors.
