Introduction
Before You Start
No special permissions required. All organisational users (Administrators, Team Owners, and Clinical Users) can access their personal dashboard.
Accessing Your Dashboard
- Click your profile card at the top of the sidebar
- The profile card displays your photo, name, duty status, and role
- The User Profile view opens with the Dashboard tab automatically selected
Note: The Dashboard tab only appears when viewing your own profile. When viewing another user's profile, you'll see only the Profile and Activity tabs.
Understanding the Dashboard
The dashboard is divided into two main sections:
My Work Dashboard (Summary Cards)
Four clickable summary cards display your current workload:
- My Patients -- Total number of patients for which you are responsible
- My Actions -- Split into two sections:
- Actions Due Soon (left side) -- Actions due within 24 hours
- Actions Overdue (right side) -- Actions past their due date
- My Sent Handovers -- Handovers you've sent that haven't been accepted or rejected yet
- My Received Handovers -- Handovers you've received that you haven't yet accepted or rejected
Click any card to navigate directly to the relevant view (My Patients, My Actions, or Handovers).
My Teams Dashboard (Team Statistics Table)
A sortable table shows statistics for all teams you belong to. Each row displays:
- Team Name (with coloured team avatar)
- Patients -- Total patients in that team
- Due soon -- Actions due within 24 hours for that team
- Overdue -- Actions past their due date for that team
- Referrals -- Pending referrals received by that team
- Messages -- Unread messages (only appears if organisation chat is enabled)
- Shows @ prefix if you have unread mentions
Sorting Team Statistics
- Click any column header to sort by that column
- An up arrow (↑) appears, indicating ascending sort order
- Click the same header again to reverse the sort direction
- A down arrow (↓) appears, indicating descending sort order
- Click a different header to sort by a new column (resets to ascending)
Sortable columns: Team Name, Patients, Due soon, Overdue, Referrals
Navigating from the Dashboard
From Summary Cards
Click any of the four summary cards to navigate to the corresponding view:
- My Patients → My Patients view
- My Actions → My Actions view
- My Sent Handovers → Handovers view (Sent tab)
- My Received Handovers → Handovers view (Received tab)
From Team Statistics
Click the team name to open that team's Patients tab.
Click any count badge to navigate to the relevant tab in that team's view:
- Patients count → Team Patients tab
- Due soon/Overdue count → Team Actions tab
- Referrals count → Team Referrals tab
- Messages count → Team Chat tab (only if chat is enabled for that team)
Tips
- The dashboard refreshes automatically with current data each time you view it
- Use the team statistics table to quickly identify which teams need immediate attention
- The @ symbol in the Messages column indicates you've been mentioned in team chat -- these typically require your response
- Sort by Overdue to prioritise teams with the most urgent actions
- The dashboard is read-only -- all actions (completing tasks, accepting handovers, managing patients) happen in the views you navigate to from the dashboard
