Introduction
The team patient list is your digital handover sheet, displaying all patients currently under your team's care. It shows key information including patient demographics, current status, location, outstanding actions, and clinical summaries. This central view helps you quickly assess your team's workload and identify patients requiring attention.
Before You Start
- You must be a member of at least one team to view team patients
- Team Owners and Administrators can see all patients in their teams
- Standard team members can also view all team patients
Steps
- From the sidebar, click Teams to expand the teams accordion
- Click on the name of the team whose patients you want to view
- The team view opens with the Patients tab selected by default
- You'll see a table displaying all patients in the team with these columns:
- Profile image showing gender icon and date of birth/age
- Name with risk flags (if applicable)
- Status with color-coded tags and duration
- Actions count (if there are outstanding tasks)
- Location showing current ward or bed
- Source indicating where the patient arrived from
- Green "My Patient" tag if you're the responsible clinician
Filtering and Searching
- To filter by patient status, click the filter icon in the top navigation bar
- Select a status from the dropdown: "Active Patients" (default), "No status", or any custom status configured for your organization
- To search for a specific patient, click the search icon in the top navigation bar
- Type the patient's first or last name in the search field (results update automatically after you stop typing)
- To toggle additional information, click the tree icon to open handover settings:
- Enable "Show Handover Categories" to display custom team category data for each patient
- Enable "Show Actions" to see the full action list for each patient
- Enable "Show clinical summaries" to display diagnosis information in the filter panel
Sorting
- Click any sortable column header (Name, Status, or Location) to sort the patient list
- Click again to toggle between ascending and descending order
- An arrow icon appears in the header showing the current sort direction
Viewing Patient Details
- Click on any patient row to expand it and view:
- Clinical summary section (if available)
- Handover categories (if enabled)
- Patient actions list (if enabled)
- Click the patient row again to navigate to the full patient detail page
Printing
- To print only your assigned patients, click the printer icon labeled "My Patients" in the top right
- To print all team patients, click the printer icon labeled "All Patients"
- A PDF is generated with your current filters and search applied
Tips
- Your filter, search, and sort preferences are saved automatically and will be restored when you return to the team view
- The page displays 50 patients at a time. Use the pagination controls at the bottom to navigate through larger patient lists
- On mobile devices, some columns (Actions, Location, Source) are hidden to optimize screen space. Additional patient details appear in the name cell instead
- Patients with overdue actions display a red badge on their profile image showing the count
- The status duration shows how many days have passed since the patient's status was last updated
