CAREFUL

Viewing Team Actions

Introduction

CAREFUL provides two ways to view and manage actions for patients in your team: a dedicated Actions tab that displays all team actions in a sortable table, and an inline view that shows actions directly within the patient list. Both views help you track outstanding tasks, monitor due dates, and manage action assignments across your team.

Before You Start

  • You must be a member of the team or an Administrator to view team actions
  • Only open (incomplete) actions are displayed in these views
  • Your view preferences (sorting, pagination, toggle state) are automatically saved

Steps

Viewing Actions in the Dedicated Tab

  1. From the sidebar, select My Teams and choose your team
  2. Click the Actions tab (located between the Patients and Members tabs)
  3. The table displays all open actions for patients in your team, showing:
    • Status badge (Open, Soon, Overdue)
    • Patient details (name, age, gender, NHS/Hospital number)
    • Action title and location
    • Assigned clinician
    • Due date and time
  4. Click any column header to sort the table by that field
  5. Use the pagination controls at the bottom to navigate through multiple pages
  6. Click on any row to open the full action details page
  7. Use the Quick Close button to mark an action complete without opening the details
  8. Click Complete Action, Reassign Action, or Update Progress to manage the action

Viewing Actions Inline with the Patient List

  1. From your team view, ensure you're on the Patients tab
  2. Look for the Show Actions toggle switch in the top navigation bar
  3. Click the toggle to turn it on (the icon changes from a cog to an eye)
  4. The patient table now displays an Actions column for each patient
  5. View and manage actions directly within the patient list without navigating away
  6. Create new actions, complete existing ones, or update progress inline
  7. Click the toggle again to hide the actions column

Tips

  • Your sorting and pagination preferences are saved automatically, so the Actions tab remembers your preferred view
  • The inline actions toggle state is saved to your browser, so it persists across sessions
  • Use the dedicated Actions tab when you need a comprehensive overview of all team actions
  • Use the inline view when you're focused on patient-level work and want quick access to actions
  • Actions are ordered by due date and time by default, helping you prioritize urgent tasks
  • Only open actions appear in these views - to see completed actions, visit the individual action detail page or patient record
  • My Actions - View all actions assigned to you across all teams
  • Creating Actions - Learn how to create new actions for patients
  • Patient Management - Understand how to manage patient records and assignments
