Introduction
You can update profile details such as name, job title, speciality, contact information, and photo for yourself or (if you're an Administrator) for other organization members. Profile changes help keep your team information accurate and up-to-date.
Before You Start
Permissions:
- Any user can edit their own profile
- Administrators can edit any organization member's profile
- Team Owners can edit team members' profiles
Important Notes:
- You cannot edit a profile that has pending phone or email changes
- Some fields (like User Role) are only visible to Administrators editing other users
- Phone and email changes require verification via SMS or email
Steps to Edit Basic Profile Information

Navigate to the user profile page:
- To edit your own profile: Click your name at the top of the left-hand sidebar
- To edit another user's profile (Admin only): Navigate to My Organisation in the sidebar, select the Members tab, and click on the user's name

Click the kebab menu (⋮) in the top right corner of the profile page

Select Edit from the dropdown menu

The Edit user dialog opens with the following fields:
- First name - Update the user's given name
- Last name - Update the user's surname
- Job title - Enter or update job title
- Speciality - Enter or update clinical speciality
- Contact / Bleep number - Enter the on-duty contact number
- User photo - Click to upload and crop a profile photo
- User role - (Administrators only, when editing others) Select Staff or Administrator

Make your desired changes to any fields

Click the Submit button at the bottom of the dialog

The dialog closes and the profile refreshes with your updated information
Steps to Change Phone/Mobile Number

From the user profile page, click the kebab menu (⋮) in the top right

Select Change Cell/Mobile number (or Add Cell/Mobile number if none exists)

In the Change Cell/Mobile number dialog, enter the new phone number using the country code selector (defaults to GB)

Click Submit

The profile will show "Pending change to [number]" until verified

The user receives an SMS with a verification link

After clicking the verification link, the phone number updates and the "Unverified" status clears
To cancel a pending phone change:
- Select Cancel Pending Cell/Mobile Request from the kebab menu
- Confirm by clicking Yes in the confirmation dialog
Steps to Change Email Address

From the user profile page, click the kebab menu (⋮) in the top right

Select Change Email (or Add Email if none exists)

In the Change Email dialog, enter the new email address

Click Submit

The profile will show "Pending change to [email]" until verified

The user receives an email with a verification link

After clicking the verification link, the email updates and the "Unverified" status clears
To cancel a pending email change:
- Select Cancel Pending Email Request from the kebab menu
- Confirm by clicking Yes in the confirmation dialog
Steps to Upload or Change Profile Photo

Open the Edit user dialog (kebab menu → Edit)

In the User photo section, click on the photo area

Select an image file from your device

Use the image cropper to adjust the photo as desired

Confirm the crop

Click Submit to save the profile with the new photo
The submit button is disabled while you're editing the photo, and enables once cropping is complete.
Steps to Change Password

From the user profile page, click the kebab menu (⋮) in the top right

Select Change password

In the password change dialog:
- Enter your current password
- Enter your new password
- Confirm your new password

Click Submit

The dialog closes and your password is updated
Tips
- Phone and email masking: For security, phone numbers and email addresses are partially masked with asterisks in the profile view
- Pending changes: You cannot make new phone or email changes while a previous change is still pending verification
- Profile photo: The submit button is disabled while you're cropping a photo to prevent accidental submission
- Contact/Bleep number: This is separate from your mobile number and is used when you're on duty - team members can use it to reach you
- Verification reminders: If your phone or email is unverified, you can resend the verification message by selecting Resend Verification Email or Resend Mobile number Verification from the kebab menu
