How to Change a Team Member's Phone Number

Introduction

Organization administrators can update the cell/mobile number for any team member in their organization. This is useful when a team member's contact information changes and needs to be updated in the system.

Before You Start

  • You must be an Organization Administrator to change another user's phone number
  • The team member must be part of a team in your organization
  • The change will require verification by the team member before it takes full effect

Steps

  1. From the sidebar, select My Teams to view your teams list
  2. Click on the team that contains the member whose phone number you want to change
  3. Click the Members tab to view all team members
  4. Locate the team member in the list and click the three-dot menu (⋮) next to their name
  5. From the dropdown menu, click Change Cell/Mobile number (shown with a mobile phone icon)
  6. A dialog box appears with the title "Change Cell/Mobile number"
  7. If needed, select the appropriate country from the country code dropdown (defaults to GB)
  8. In the New phone number field, enter the team member's new phone number
  9. The phone number will automatically format based on the selected country code
  10. Click the Submit button to save the change
  11. The dialog closes automatically and the member table refreshes
  12. The phone number now shows as "Pending Mobile" until the team member verifies it

Tips

  • International numbers: The phone input supports international formats - just select the correct country code first and the system will format the number correctly
  • Pending status: After you submit the change, the team member will receive a verification request. The new number won't be active until they verify it
  • Cancel pending changes: If you need to cancel a pending phone number change, click the three-dot menu again and select "Cancel Pending Cell/Mobile Request"
  • Error messages: If you enter an invalid phone number format, an error message will appear below the input field with a red outline - correct the format and resubmit
  • Masked display: Phone numbers in the member table show only the first 3 and last 3 digits for privacy
