The User Dashboard

Introduction

The User Dashboard provides a personal overview of your workload, showing key metrics for your patients, actions, and handovers, plus a sortable table of all teams you belong to with their current status.

Before You Start

  • You must be logged in as an organization user
  • The Dashboard tab only appears when viewing your own profile
  • No special permissions required

Steps

Accessing Your Dashboard:

  1. From the top of the left-hand menu, click your name
  2. The User Profile view opens with the Dashboard tab selected by default
  3. If you're viewing your profile and on a different tab, click the Dashboard tab to switch to it

Understanding Your Dashboard:

The dashboard displays two main sections:

My Work Section (Top Cards):

  1. My Patients - Shows the total number of patients assigned to you. Click to view your full patient list
  2. My Actions - Split into two counts:
    • Left side: Actions Due Soon (alarm icon) - actions due within 24 hours
    • Right side: Actions Overdue (alarm cancel icon) - actions past their due date
    • Click either count to view your complete actions list
  3. My Sent Handovers - Number of handovers you've sent that haven't been accepted or rejected yet. Click to view sent handovers
  4. My Received Handovers - Number of handovers awaiting your response. Click to view received handovers

My Teams Section (Bottom Table):

  1. Review the table showing all teams you belong to, with columns for:
    • Team Name - Click to view that team's patient list
    • Patients - Total patient count for the team
    • Due soon - Team actions due in the next 24 hours
    • Overdue - Team actions that are past due
    • Referrals - Pending referrals the team has received
    • Messages - Unread message count (only shown if chat is enabled for your organization)

Sorting Your Teams:

  1. Click any column header (Team Name, Patients, Due soon, Overdue, Referrals) to sort by that column
  2. The sort direction indicator (↑ or ↓) appears next to the column name
  3. Click the same header again to reverse the sort direction
  4. Default sort is by team name in ascending order

Navigating from the Dashboard:

  1. Click any team name to open that team's patient list
  2. Click any metric count (patients, due soon, overdue, referrals, messages) to jump directly to that team's relevant tab
  3. Note: Tab positions vary depending on whether chat is enabled for each team

Tips

  • The dashboard automatically refreshes when you log in - no need to manually reload
  • All metric counts are clickable links that take you to the full view
  • The @ symbol next to a message count indicates unread mentions of your name
  • If a card shows zero (0), it's still clickable and will show you an empty list
  • When viewing another user's profile, the Dashboard tab won't appear - it's personal to each user
  • Overdue actions appear in red to draw attention to urgent items
  • The dashboard data is cached after login, so switching tabs is instant with no additional loading
  • My Patients - View and manage all patients assigned to you
  • My Actions - See your complete task list with filtering options
  • Handovers - Manage incoming and outgoing responsibility transfers
  • Team View - Detailed team management and patient lists
  • User Profile - Manage your personal settings and activity log
