Accessing CAREFUL Design Principles

Introduction

CAREFUL's design principles explain the four foundational values guiding the platform: Confidentiality, Security, Ease-of-use, and Interoperability. This documentation is available through the Support Centre and helps you understand how CAREFUL protects patient data and supports clinical workflows.

Before You Start

No special permissions required. All CAREFUL users can access the Support Centre and design principles documentation.

Steps

On Desktop:

1. Locate the Support link in the left sidebar (it has a question mark icon)
2. Click the Support link
3. Your web browser opens a new tab showing the CAREFUL Support Centre at careful.online
4. From the Support Centre, navigate to the "Principles: How have we designed CAREFUL?" article
5. Read about the four core principles: Confidentiality, Security, Ease-of-use, and Interoperability

On Mobile:

1. Tap the Help button in the bottom navigation bar (it has a question mark icon)
2. Your web browser opens showing the CAREFUL Support Centre at careful.online
3. From the Support Centre, navigate to the "Principles: How have we designed CAREFUL?" article
4. Read about the four core principles that guide CAREFUL's design

Tips

• The Support link is always available in your sidebar/navigation, making it easy to access help whenever needed
• The Welcome Tour (shown to new users) also mentions the Support icon and directs you to the Support Centre
• The Support Centre contains additional documentation beyond the design principles, including user guides and troubleshooting help
