Introduction
The Organisation Log provides a complete audit trail of all activities within your organisation. It tracks patient management, user actions, team changes, handovers, referrals, and system events, helping you maintain compliance and understand what's happening across your organisation.
Before You Start
No special permissions required. The Log tab is available to all users. However:
- Organisation users see only their own organisation's activity log
- System administrators can view any organisation's log
Steps
- From the sidebar, select Organisation (or navigate to the Manage Organisation view)
- The Organisation view opens, displaying several tabs at the top: Patients, Actions, Members, Settings, and Log
- Click the Log tab (the rightmost tab)
- The activity log appears as a table with three columns: Date, User, and Event
- The log displays the 50 most recent events, with the newest entries at the top
- Each row shows:
- Date: When the event occurred
- User: The name of the person who performed the action
- Event: A detailed description of what happened, with relevant information like patient names, team names, or specific changes made
- If more than 50 entries exist, a Load more button appears at the bottom of the table
- Click Load more to display the next 50 entries
- Continue clicking Load more to view older entries as needed
Tips
- Use the log for compliance: The audit trail records every significant action, making it valuable for clinical governance and incident investigations
- Event details vary by type: Patient events show clinical details (name, DOB, medical record number), while team events show team names and settings changes
- Newest first: Events are always displayed in reverse chronological order, so the most recent activities appear at the top
- Complete history: The log captures over 70 different event types, including patient admissions, discharges, handovers, referrals, user changes, and team modifications
- No editing: The log is read-only for data integrity—you can view but not modify entries
