Introduction
The Actions tab in the organisation management view provides administrators with a centralized overview of all patient actions across your entire organisation. This enables you to monitor workload, track overdue tasks, and ensure timely completion of care activities.
Before You Start
- You must be an Organisation Administrator to access this feature
- Standard team members and team owners do not have access to organisation-wide action views
Steps
- From the sidebar, click My Organisation to open the organisation management view
- Click the Actions tab in the tab bar. You'll see a badge showing the count of overdue actions if any exist
- The actions table displays all patient actions across your organisation with the following information:
- Status: Visual badge showing Open, Overdue, Soon (within 24 hours), or Closed
- Patient: Patient name, date of birth, gender, and hospital number
- Title: The action description
- Location: Where the patient is located
- Assigned to: The clinician responsible for completing the action
- Due: The due date and time for the action
- To sort the table, click any column header (Patient, Title, Location, Assigned to, or Due). Click again to reverse the sort order
- To view action details, click anywhere on an action row to navigate to the full action page
- To quickly complete an action, click the checkmark icon button on the right side of the row
- Click Click to Complete to confirm the completion
- For additional actions, click the kebab menu (⋮) on any row to access:
- Complete Action: Mark the action as done with notes
- Reassign Action: Transfer the action to a different team member
- Update Progress: Add progress notes without closing the action
Tips
- The Actions tab badge shows your overdue action count at a glance, helping you prioritize urgent tasks
- Your sort preferences and page position are automatically saved, so when you return to this view, you'll see the same arrangement
- The "Soon" status appears for actions due within the next 24 hours, giving you advance warning before tasks become overdue
- Use the quick close checkmark button for straightforward actions, but use the kebab menu's "Complete Action" option when you need to add detailed notes about the outcome
- The default view sorts actions by patient last name and displays 50 actions per page
