Introduction
CAREFUL supports multiple languages to help you work in your preferred language. You can change the interface language at any time, and your preference will be saved for future sessions. All text throughout the application will update immediately to reflect your choice.
Before You Start
No special permissions required. All users can change their own language preference.
Steps

Click your name or profile avatar in the top-right corner of the screen to open your User Profile page

Click the kebab menu (three vertical dots ⋮) in the top-right area of the page

Select Change language from the dropdown menu

A dialog box titled "Change language" appears, displaying a dropdown menu with your current language selection

Click the dropdown to view all available language options:
- 🇬🇧 English (UK)
- 🇺🇸 English (US)
- 🇦🇺 English (AU)
- 🇪🇸 Spanish
- 🇻🇳 Vietnamese

Click your preferred language from the list

The interface updates immediately -- all text throughout CAREFUL changes to your selected language without requiring a page reload

Click the X button in the top-right corner of the dialog, or click outside the dialog to close it
Tips
- Your language preference is saved automatically and will persist across all future sessions
- You don't need to click a "Save" button -- the change takes effect immediately when you select a language
- The language change affects all parts of CAREFUL, including menus, buttons, tables, and dialog boxes
- If you're using CAREFUL on multiple devices, you'll need to set your language preference on each device separately
- Patient names, clinical notes, and user-entered text will remain in their original language -- only the CAREFUL interface text changes
